Working on my first quilt!!

This is my first attempt at making a quilt. Me and a friend, who has never really quilted either, decided that we would work on quilts together. That way we can teach each other and encourage each other along the way as well. I think I made some really good fabric choices and actually cut the strips and blocks out pretty good. I can't wait to get to the finished product. If any of you have any good suggestions/tips/tricks or sites that will help us along the was.....PLEASE SHARE!!

Good Tools!!

One thing my grandmother taught me when she was teaching me to sew is that every seamstress MUST HAVE good tools to work with. Well over the last couple of months I have UPGRADED my tools to Gingher!! I of course used my 50% off coupons from JoAnn's to get them...these babies were not cheap. But, I should not have to replace any of these for a LOOOOOONG time :-)

Super Mario Bros Party (Pre and After)

Ok, so we are getting ready for Silas' Super 5th Birthday Bash. I think I am more excited than he is. Here are a few things we will have at the party. I will post more over the next couple of weeks and some pics from the party next month too. I got ALL of my ideas off of the Internet by the way. The only idea that is original is the invitation format and wording. The parting gift will be a white chocolate mold of a Wii controller!!!
